WebFiling is an electronic system provided by Companies House for companies to file forms, Annual Returns and certain types of Financial Accounts electronically.

The advantages of using this system are -

• No need to post paper forms to Companies House which can take several days to update the company record. WebFiling often accepts forms within just a few hours.
• The service is free to use with the exception of filing the Annual Return. The Annual Return incurs a £15 government fee but is still cheaper than the paper filing fee of £30.
• PROOF scheme offered which helps protect companies from being hijacked by fraudsters. A company signing up to PROOF can only file electronic forms via secure passwords making it difficult for anyone to file false information about your company.

The WebFiling system is very easy to use and intuitive. It also prevents the majority of errors occurring with paper forms as the system will only allow you submit correctly completed forms online.
